Statistics say that a large percentage of household falling accidents occur in the bathroom, so any chance to increase the overall safety of your bathroom is an advisable decision. Our client for this project found us through Home Depot’s referral program and needed to have a grab bar installed for easy access in and out of the shower. Our handymen have plenty of experience with routine jobs like this, and they know that precision is critical so that the installation doesn’t ruin the cosmetic appeal of the tiling. Beyond that, a safe, stable installation is always the priority when it comes to adding any support structure within your home.
Step one for installing a grab bar is locating the studs and determining exactly where the grab bar should be installed for optimal use. A significant factor to consider here is whether or not your client has any disability or injury, as the positioning of the bar needs to correspond to their intended use. Once we assessed the situation and agreed on the optimal positioning, we were able to proceed with securely and evenly installing the bar. We based the installation on the layout of the studs and their intended use of the bar.
Now this customer can enjoy a safer, lower-risk daily routine thanks to the added support of their new grab bar. What’s more, their bathroom tile continues to look great and shows no signs of being affected by the grab bar installation process.
